Fire-retardant particles (bromine/halogenated) are also known as flame-retardant particles, which are one of the best flame-retardant products in plastics and rubber. Fire-retardant particles (masterbatches) are a kind of granular products made by organically combining, modifying and synergistic effects of various flame retardant components on the basis of flame retardant, and mixing, extruding and granulating through twin-screw or three-screw extruder. Different from the flame retardant, the flame retardant particles have the advantages of easy addition in the resin, clean and sanitary, high flame retardant efficiency, small amount of addition, small impact on the mechanical properties of the resin, no delamination, pattern, precipitation and other adverse phenomena after addition, saving manpower, material costs and time, etc. Generally speaking, the dispersion, mobility, compatibility with resin, thermal stability and weather resistance of flame retardant particles in the resin are greatly superior to those of common flame retardant. In addition, the flame retardant efficiency and efficiency (cost performance) of properly formulated flame retardant particles are far superior to that of common flame retardant. So at present, the flame-retardant particles become one of the best choices for the flame-retardant plastic products to meet the fire protection requirements, and become an effective substitute for the flame retardant powder.
