Longitudinal grooves on the surface of the board foam

Longitudinal grooves on the surface of the board foam

In the production process of XPS, EPS, and PET foam board, longitudinal grooves on the surface of the foam boards are a common problem. We have provided corresponding solutions for different causes.

Mold discharge port has impurities cutting the board foam:

1. Loosen the screws of the corresponding part of the die mouth to allow the residue to be carried out by the material.

2. Use a copper rod to strike the surface of the mold, causing impurities to detach from the surface and be carried out of the mold with the material.

3. Use a water gun to cool the corresponding areas of the mold surface, allowing the material to cool and harden while removing impurities.

4. Use a needle or feeler gauge to clear the mold outlet and remove impurities.
